Newels

A newel post is the central column supporting a staircase. It’s the structural support pillar, supporting the staircase and handrail. It’s usually embellished with a newel cap or finial. Below is our popular range of newel posts that we can produce in most timbers. These designs like all other designs can be hand turned to suit an individual staircase and it’s constraints. We will work with joiners and stair manufactures to achieve the correct look. We can also produce barley twist newel posts, fluted newel posts and square shaped newel posts.

Our designs are architecturally accurate and cover a wide range of ages and styles. We also offer a matching service where we can reproduce an exact copy of an existing turning from the original or a drawing.
